For German artist Gunnar Boehme, life in Gozo is a mixture of the new and the old that enables one to retain a sense of one's origin.

Mr Boehme, who works in Hamburg and who conducts creativity workshops in theatre, art and photography, will be displaying his photographic work, along with glass art and jewellery by co-national Dana Kranz, at the Banca Giuratale in Independence Square, Victoria.

Entitled Lost & Found, the exhibition will run from May 29 to June 14.

Mr Boehme, who also resides in Gozo, which he describes as the island of his future days, says that "the simplicity and the honesty that define life in the villages are an important inspiration not only for my work with young people but also for my photographic style".

Ms Kranz, who hails from Bavaria, visited Gozo regularly with her family since she was two and when she decided to become self-employed she opted to move and settle there.

The exhibition is hosted by the Gozo Cultural Council and the Victoria local council.
