Aaron Camilleri Cauchi and Antonio Mifsud represented Malta at the sixth International European Crib Exhibition, which opened on January 28 in the European Parliament.
Their sculptures were selected by an international jury who chose the best nine works at an exhibition in Calabria, Italy, which featured over 350 works of art by 250 artists from Europe and the Middle East. Mr Camilleri Cauchi's 'alto-relief' was chosen as best sculpture.
He was asked by the organisers to produce a sculpture to mark the event, which was presented to European Parliament vice president Mario Mauro.
