A total of over 120 works of art by about 90 artists have been unveiled by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi as part of the celebrations organised by the Nationalist Party to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of independence.

The works are spread around in eight different places in Mdina and a 136-page catalogue of the exhibition has also been published.

The works include both sculptures and paintings by some of Malta's leading artists. One finds names such as Anton Agius, Harry Alden, Richard England, Andrew Micallef, Kenneth Zammit Tabona, Frank Portelli, Luciano Micallef, Emvin Cremona, Austin Camilleri, Antoine Camilleri, Ganni Bonnici, Victor Diacono, Marco Cremona and Daniel Scerri.

The works can be seen at Don Mesquita, Il Gattopardo Art Gallery, Ciappetti Restaurant, Fontanella Tea Gardens, The Mdina Experience, Palazzo Costanzo Restaurant, Xara Palace Hotel and Corte Capitanale.
