With the Sitecom Wireless Mobile Router 150N X1, the user can easily share a mobile 3G network with a number of users in any location; even locations outside of the home, since the solution has a rechargeable battery which makes it possible to work for six consecutive hours.
Sitecom said its new WL-361 Wireless Mobile Router 150N X1 is the ideal solution for mobile users who wish to share a 3G internet connection in practically any location, even in locations without access to a plug, such as a park, in the garden or in a street cafe.
It has an integrated rechargeable battery which makes it possible to work for six consecutive hours without the need for a plug socket. The user can check the status of the battery at any time by looking at the LED indicator, so that he knows when the battery must be recharged. If an internet connection is not available, the user can insert a 3G modem into the integrated 3G-Ready USB port and share a 3G connection, with, for example, family members in a hotel or on a campsite, or with work colleagues in a conference hall or on a business trip.
The router is ideal to use when travelling, thanks to its compact size (9 cm x 6.2 cm x 3.2 cm) and the internal antenna.
The internal antenna guarantees wide coverage in any location; such as at home, but also in a hotel, in a conference hall or on holiday. The router uses 150N technology (based on the 802.11n standard), which makes it possible to share an internet connection, peripheral devices and files with wireless speeds of up to 150 Mbps. The WL-361 is fully “out of the box” protected as standard with WPA2, so that the connection is protected in any location. Furthermore, it is possible to create a secure wireless connection with only one push of the OPS (One-Push Setup) button without having to install complicated software.
The WL-361 Wireless Router 150N X1 will be available from December and, just like the other Sitecom solutions, has a 10-year warranty. There is a two-year warranty for the integrated battery.
