Hundreds of people last night feasted their eyes and their taste buds on chocolate in a Festival of Chocolate held in Hamrun.
The activity included displays on the history of chocolate in its many varieties, models and designs made of chocolate, re-enactments of the serving of a chocolate drink during the time of the Knights and entertainment. The models included a 12-foot model of a train made of 75kg of chocolate. The work took 127 man hours to complete.
The festival was hosted by Hamrun local council to recall the time when Hamrun used to have several chocolate warehouse.
