Sudden downpours flooded the roads in several low-lying areas yesterday evening.

Msida, as usual, bore the brunt, with several cars being stalled by the waters. Personnel from the Civil Protection Department were on hand to render assistance. However the rainwater also stopped traffic much further up, at Naxxar Road opposite the Kind's showroom.
