A motorcyclist died on Sunday in a crash also involving a car on the Mrieħel bypass, Qormi.

The police said the accident happened at noon.

The victim is a 38-year-old man from San Gwann who was driving a  Suzuki GSX motorcycle.

The other vehicle was a Toyota Aygo driven by a 26-year-old woman from Sliema.

The motorcyclist died on the spot.

Magistrate Josette Demicoli is leading an inquiry.
