GO plc said today that Discovery's TLC, the international entertainment channel for women will feature on its television channels list as of September 1, replacing Discovery Travel and Living.
It will be transmited on Guide Channel 503 for GO digital tv and Channel 303 for GO interactive TV.
GO will be the first operator in Malta to launch TLC – which is aimed at women aged between 25 and 49 It broadcasts lifestyle, reality and inspirational entertainment programmes from around the world.
Speaking about the addition of TLC to the GO tv line-up, GO's tv Product Manager, Michèle Dandria said: "We are delighted to be introducing TLC – the amazing must-have channel for female viewers in the Maltese Islands. TLC is more than just a tv channel – it is a way of life that guarantees top-notch entertainment with a special appeal for women of all ages. TLC hosts an exceptional mix of fiction and reality programming projected to match up with the typical lifestyle of today's woman."
Top new series on the channel at launch include Sister Wives, which documents the life of a polygamist family living in Utah, with patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives and their 16 children. What Not To Wear with Stacy London and Clinton Kelly is a series designed to help make all women stylish, regardless of their shape, height or age. Other cutting edge series on TLC include Hoarding: Buried Alive that goes inside the homes of extreme hoarders to explore the psychology behind their compulsion, Happily Every Laughter featuring the wildest, hilarious moments from bachelor and bachelorette parties and other events, My Secret Body that follows the journey of tormented persons as they struggle with hiding an embarrassing secret about their bodies.
