Marsovin has just launched a limited edition of 255 Cassar de Malte Magnum (1.5 litre) Xampanja bottles – the first local winery to produce a traditional-method sparkling wine in this size, moving in the steps of all the great champagne houses in France.

The first Xampanja was launched in 2000 and it took the name Cassar de Malte, a quality sparkling wine crafted in homage to Chev. Anthony Cassar, the founder of Marsovin, and his son Joseph.

Cassar de Malte owes its character and finesse to the selected Chardonnay grapes, harvested from Marsovin’s private estate in Wardija Valley, and to more than 12 months’ maturing on yeast lees in the bottle, as part of the intricate méthode traditionelle, giving the wine its great complexity.
