People swarmed through the squares and streets of several villages for the traditional Easter Sunday processions held last Sunday. The Catholic Church’s biggest feast was celebrated with outdoor manifestations, notably the processions and the blessing of Easter eggs and figolli, in Victoria (at the Cathedral and St George’s Basilica), Xewkija, Nadur, Kerċem and Xagħra, and in the evening in Żebbuġ, Fontana and Qala.
