Stefan Giglio On Mark

Malta international midfielder Stefan Giglio emerged as the unlikely hero of his Bulgarian team Lokomotiv Sofia in their 1-0 league victory over Botev Plovdiv yesterday. With the score tied at 0-0, the 24-year-old struck his side's winner one minute from time after he came off the substitutes' bench with 10 minutes of the game remaining. Giglio, who had a powerful header saved by the Botev goalkeeper soon after he entered the field, dribbled his way past two defenders before placing the ball into the net.
